2023-2024 Music Exploration Elective Class

At Mark West Charter School, 7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to participate in the music elective class. In the first quarter, students will explore musical concepts and skills by playing stringed instruments (violin, viola, or cello), moving, playing games, and singing. Students will create original works of music, collaborate with other students, learn to read and write standard music notation, and prepare music for performance. This class meets on Tuesdays and Fridays from 1:08-2:08 p.m. and students may enroll every quarter if they wish.
